As having no idea what to do after our class lesson with the kids, J and I decided to do a random trip to Chunghwa to eat and drink the local flavours. However, on our way there… we came up towards a turnoff intersection with the huge sign pointing out that Chunghwa was thataway… I asked J, ‘so where does the road take us if we headed on straight? Xingchu?’ after seeing another sign earlier. He said that if we continue down this straight, we will eventually reach Lukang.
I always wanted to go visit there, I thought to myself. So I told J that we have a change of plan. We’re heading to Lukang instead… With his approval, we continued heading down the expressway to make our way to Lukang.

I dunno why… but for some reason, I always find myself in those situations… where the location and environment would make the perfect outing to take a girl out on a date. Went went to an antique and historically important temple, The Temple of the Sky Queen with a bust of Machu god made entirely out of gold. There, I made wishes and prayed. We had fun trying out oyster omelet, mini clam soup, fish ball soup, and the luscious lady tongue… (actually it’s some kinda shellfish meat – interesting taste). We walked down the hundred year cobbled streets with the old houses from the Chinese Ching Tsao era. Along the way, we also bought some lucky charms and tickets. In addition to that, we visited an open art gallery on display. To sum up the evening, we had some local touhwa dessert. We both had combination touhwa which had the different beans, and some pearl jellies.

As we drove back to the camp, I was thinking to myself… that would’ve been a perfect date in my books. If only I had taken a girl… haha… not that it wasn’t bad with J, but definitely was a memorable experience. Aii… why do I constantly find myself in these… ‘situations’. Food for the soul… food for the soul… nonetheless, I’m happy I got to have the opportunity to know a new friend, J.

Following my very first post on operationJA, I found something that showed a similar thought.
If you make only one resolution this year, let it be to live boldly. You control this moment; Rather than cautiously test the water, dive straight into life with freeing abandon. Imagine the person you want to be and the life you want to live, then simply commit to them. Believe in yourself. Embrace your beauty. Discover a new passion. And whatever you do, wherever you go, don’t be afraid to make a splash.

Go hard people!

Only the second day, and I’m already kinda stumped on what to write.
I did have various topics to talk about, but its typically dependent on the amount of time I have to type. No internet access during night time really hampers how much time I can spend typing up a blog. But like I have said in the previous entry, maybe I will not write in here everyday, but will try to write whenever I can.

Oh yeah, last night the camp and I went to “Stone” 石頭” (I think)
That place is pretty nice…. but the Caotun one that I went to wasn’t as good as the Fengyuan one which I went with my parents. I think they lacked a bit on the service, the food quality and a bit on the quantity. Nevertheless, we ate a lot. I think our table of ten went through like 12 HUGE PLATTERS of meat. Like an all you can eat BBQ buffet. I think in total, there were 35 of us and we all had a great time. Got to know my 學弟 a lil bit more as well as had a good time with the other guys. The place is also slightly pricey, but retrospectively, was a nice place to dine with a huge group of people.

New Beginnings in 2012

Nothing like starting anew.

I think that every once in a while, we all hit that stump in our lives where we ponder the moment and wonder where on Earth we are. It is usually then, whereby we reflect on all that has been whether they be the good, the bad, and the unshakable ugliness with everyday life. I would imagine most of you would have made new and promising New Year Resolutions (NYR) in the hopes and wishes that a new year would bring a wind of good fortune and a wave prosperity. I believe the majority of my friends would give me a thumbs up and like this statement, were it to appear on FB.
I assume that for most people, their NYR’s would range between finding a newer and more challenging job (along with a better pay which cannot hurt), or finding someone new to share their lives with. Some may hope they can become fitter, whilst others merely wish for more time they can spend with their family/kids or learning a new instrument/hobbies. As for me, I want to start with something simpler. That is, to pick up what I felt was one of my long lost past-time hobby.

Since I’ve stopped blogging, I’ve found that I read a lot less, my vocabulary has gone horrendously poor, my social skills a disaster, and my appearance atrocious when trying to describe to someone something I know very well with “uhh… humm… yeah… I know what I want to say, but I can’t think of the word/words to describe them.” So in this manner, my very first attempt at being a better me, I will strive to keep this blog active and continue to write more of my life, thoughts, and other “interesting” stuff.

My goal is to hopefully be able to get some followers to constantly read, comment, and hopefully participate.
If I achieve this, all of the blogging is worth it~
